West Point Hosts NCEA

  West Point NCEA

The National Conference on Ethics in America (NCEA) was held in Eisenhower Hall on November 14-15. The theme this year was “Followership.” A generous endowment from the West Point Class of 1970 “Serve with Integrity” supported the conference that saw 250 undergraduate, graduate, and faculty participants from over 62 institutions. Attendees included cadets from each of the military service academies and ROTC, and students from civilian colleges and universities. The keynote speaker was SMA(R) Dan Dailey who inspired attendees and faculty with his message of followership through his experience serving as the most senior enlisted advisor in the US Army. Other notable speakers included GEN(R) David Perkins ’80, who discussed empowering subordinates during his experience in the invasion of Iraq in 2003 and his brigade’s “Thunder Run” into the heart of Baghdad.
